Budapest’s first tramline was opened in 1887 on the Great Boulevard, between Nyugati (Western) Railway station and Kiraly Street. Interesting thing is that the first public tram in the world was open only six years earlier, in 1881, near Berlin, Germany. In fact Budapest was the first city in the world with a permanent town central tram system.
Enjoy collection of my favorite black and white photos.
I was lucky enough to get to Roger Waters concert in Budapest. Yeah, I know its not Pink Floyd, but trust me it was insane - Ticket cost me well over 100 Euros, but I swear I would pay another 100 to see it again! It was a hell of a show - 3 hours of of mind blowing special effects - lasers, flying pigs, astronauts, lights, smoke, dust, explosions + amazing on screen effects! All this accompanied with psychedelic music and great lyrics. (more…)
I spent 2 years of my life in Budapest, I just wish I did more landscape photography like this… It’s an amazing city with beautiful architecture and pretty scenery.
The first photo is a view from my dormitory room, around 6:00 AM - night of heavy drinking and no sleep, and the scene set a good mood for the hangover day
