Young Photographers Alliance Award
Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY) is introducing a new award this year. TPOTY has teamed up with the Young Photographers Alliance to offer a new Young Photographer Alliance Award in order to help people passionate about photography to get a good grounding which will enable them to pursue photography as a career.
TPOTY is run by photographers for photographers, judged by renowned photography experts and provides great prizes including travel adventures, photographic equipment, photography tuition and international exposure for your photography.
But it’s not all about prizes. TPOTY has helped many photographers – not just the winners – to raise their profile, sell their work, get commissions or launch photographic careers.
Who can enter?
Anyone! Wherever you live in the world, whether you’re an amateur or professional photographer, and whatever age you are, you can enter TPOTY.
Check out the three portfolio categories, the One Shot single image category, Young TPOTY (for photographers aged 18 years and under), the First Shot beginners’ award and New Talent, for students or those looking to kick-start a career in photography.

New for 2010!
The Young TPOTY awards are now divided into age groups – 15 to 18 years, 14 years and under – with great prizes for each group.
TPOTY has teamed up with the Young Photographers’ Alliance (YPA) to offer mentoring and portfolio reviews to the New Talent and Young TPOTY winners.
This exciting partnership offers the best entrants a valuable opportunity to get invaluable advice and guidance on their photography from leading photographers and picture editors. The winners will also tbe offered additional guidance from the editorial team of the British Journal of Photography.
Through Axiom Photographic Agency, run by TPOTY judge Erin Moroney, TPOTY will be offering stock agency representation to the New Talent winner and the judges’ special award for an emerging talent, aged 25 years or under.
