Leica announces Oskar Barnack Award 2010
Leica has announced its 31st Oskar Barnack Award for themed photo series, with a first prize of €5,000. To take part, participants must send in a series of photographs (minimum 10 up to a maximum of 12 images, only one series per participant) expressing ‘the interaction between man and the environment’. There is also a ‘Newcomer’ award open to photographers under 25 years, with the chance to win €2,500. Winners in both categories can also opt for their prize’s value in Leica camera equipment.
Deadline for submissions is 15 March 2010.

P.s. “The interaction between man and the environment” is a fantastic subject, already makes my mind race about possible photo scenes… And it’s great that they allow participation under the age 25, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to take part.
Are you going to submit your work? if yes, drop a comment here. I would like to hear your opinion.
