Dangers of travel

Okay, I will admit it, I hate heights… erm, look how I used the word ‘hate’ – in fact; I’m terrified of walking anywhere higher than few meters without the safety belt… But this isn’t the point of the post. I want to tell you about the people I encounter during long travels. Most of them are just strange, but few creepy, type that you feel is better to avoid.

I remember, my first travel in France, little castle in the middle of the vineyards, lost in time and space. With a creepy gatekeeper greeting me on the way in and out everyday. It’s a shame I never photographed him, but I never had courage to do it.

Two photos below remind me of one such creepy encounter…

This dude is sitting on verge of the fall that is 5 kilometers deep. You cannot see it on the photo, but slope is as steep as it gets – Only the thought of the depth shoots adrenaline in my blood. And this guy is just chilling there, enjoying the view, and giving me that strange look when I try to take his photo…
Second photo I took in his work room, as I discovered later he makes knifes and sells them as souvenirs.
