Russia continues bobmardment of Georgian capital Tbilisi

Category: old
Written on Aug 10, 2008 by Sandro Dzneladze

Even after Georgia pulled out troops from S. Osetia, Russia continues to bomb Georgian capital Tbilisi. It’s 4:48am Monday 11 August local time – I just heard two strong explosions coming from the civilian block of the city. I cannot confirm anything right now, media is quiet but the sky is red and I can see my neighbors getting out of the houses.

It seems Russian bear is mad and roaring, it will not stop against international will or political pressure… We live in an interesting era, I think we gonna see some values put to test all around the world: we’ll see if U.N. has any function in a modern world, we’ll see if Security council is capable of doing anything when sovereign countries are being annexed by aggressors… we’ll see if international law exists after all… we’ll see if Europe has anything but words to aid Republic of Georgia.

The map below shows Russian troops occupying various strategic places all around sovereign Republic of Georgia. Map also shows past bombing sights, and places that have been just bombed during last 24 hours.

Stop Russian Aggression!

One thing is for sure truth will prevail… God help Georgia!

As soon as I heard that Georgia was being bombed I remembered talking with you about how the situation was deteriorating. I can’t help but think the timing with the olympics was a way to distract media attention, and unfortunately it is working. Hopefully this situation will be resolved peacefully, for the sake both of democracy and our international system of law. Take care and stay safe.

      First lets clear the picture.
      First: Georgia attacked S. Osetia.
Second: Georgian troops killed some 1500 – 2000 civilians in S. Osetia.
Third: Russia have peacekeeping mission in region.
Now, why do you want to stop Russia protecting woman children and older ones?

I think you first should clear what is propaganda, and what are the facts. okay? when we decide what are facts, and what is mythology, after this we can have some argument over here. Also please refrain from hypocritical BS, like “protecting woman” and “older ones”. Who are we kidding? Russian soldiers that raped and robbed the nation, you can see videos of this on utube btw…

For the correct political analysis we have to look at the global picture in the region. And only after this we can come to true conclusions! So what was happening before war? – Georgia was steadily moving towards west, trying to get into NATO, getting closer to European union. Integration process, or the getting close process started with the “MAP”, and Georgia was promised a place in Nato. This was the political situation preceding the conflict. We all know what was the reaction of the Russian side on this, deputy Girinovski even openly started talking about the war, I personally heard him saying on TV that if Georgia doesn’t drop plans for integrating with west even military operation is possible. After this Russia passed a very interesting law, this law states that Russia can stage military operation anyplace in the world under the motive of protection of it’s citizens. Are you following? well, this already sets the picture, and most of us, I mean people with brains… we knew what would happen next.

Before war, on the border, 16 policemen were killed by Osetian terrorists. This was the last drop that Georgian side couldn’t swallow. And government decided to act. This was a big mistake, since Russian troops were already stationed behind the Roki tunnel, waiting for the conflict to start.

What followed was the few day war, and 2 weeks of Russian occupation of Georgia… With only one mission, to change rightfully elected government, and put pro-Russian politician in his place. Putin, also medvedev openly admitted this to Raise.

You don’t have to be a genius to understand who staged the war. And which side is guilty, just read the free press, and move the gray substance in your head.

As for the civilian death numbers, who are you kidding? what source did you use to come up with that number? As far as I know Russians didn’t let any independent, European observers in the region… why??? because they are hiding the truth, and the Truth IS: what happened in Osetia, was a genocide against Georgian people!
