Chateau de Brissac

The Château de Brissac in the commune of Brissac-Quincé, in the département of Maine-et-Loire, France, was originally built as a fortified castle by the Counts of Anjou in the 11th century.

brissac-castle-loire-valley-france-1.jpg In the 15th century, the structure was rebuilt by Pierre de Brézé, a wealthy chief minister to King Charles VII. You can see a new castle built over the old one on this photo. After reconstruction it’s a tallest castle in France.
