I've got a friend who's saving for one. If I did more wildlife photography, I'd probably want one myself for the FPS and dreaded crop factor. I'd disagree with the Canon rep, though; for analogue film users, the 40D isn't all that compelling. A person who's used to a 35 mm frame isn't likely to be satisfied with the way their lenses ( and if they've been using Canon SLRs for years with film, they have a collection of lenses ) seem to grow by 60 %.
